Protocol

A protocol refers to a detailed plan that outlines the objectives, methodology, and procedures of a study or review before it is conducted. It serves as the guideline for how the research will be carried out, ensuring consistency, transparency, and scientific rigor throughout the study. A well-written protocol helps researchers define key elements of the study, reduces the risk of bias, and allows for proper interpretation of results.

Protocols are an essential component of a systematic review and can be published in a peer review database or journal.
