About SRI
The Systematic Review Initiative (SRI) is a clinical research group working within the UK blood transfusion services. We were founded in 2002 by Professors Mike Murphy and David Roberts [England] and Professor Brian McClelland [Scotland], following a request from the NHS Executive in their Health Service Circular ‘Better Blood Transfusion’ in December 1998. Our objective is to develop the evidence base in the field of transfusion medicine.
What we do
The primary objective of the SRI is to develop the evidence base for the practice of transfusion medicine. To this end, we have so far produced over 100 systematic reviews and other evidence-based medicine research projects in the transfusion field.
