September was Sickle Cell Awareness month, and also saw the publication of our updated overview of systematic reviews, looking at red cell transfusion interventions in sickle cell disease, and led by Lise Estcourt.
We were delighted to be able to interview Lise about her overview, for a special bonus episode of the Talking Transfusion Podcast. In part one, you can hear about how this type of study is carried out, and in part two, Lise discusses the findings of the overview, highlighting some important evidence gaps that still exist in this area.
You can listen on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, and read the full overview on the Cochrane Library here
